Tree Of Life Logo

The Synchronicity Studio logo is my painter's rendering of the ancient Celtic design known as the "Tree of Life," which symbolizes the belief that heaven and earth are intimately interconnected.  In my painting the tree canopy is reaching down to earth, while the roots are simultaneously reaching up to heaven.  This symbol speaks to me of the spiritual aspects of landscape painting, such as synchronicity, beauty, and harmony with Mother Earth.

The tree was inspired by the beautiful red/brown color of the mature ponderosa pine, which is prevalent in the mountains of northern New Mexico.  The same red/brown color is also in the soil all over this area.  The mountains are an image of the Ortiz mountains that I see everyday from my studio.  Lastly, the path is a reference to my love of hiking, which brings frequent inspiration for my paintings.
